3 Day Cod Hole and Ribbon Reefs
The weather was finally looking good with the forecast staying good for the next 3 days, which was fantastic news to everyone’s ears.
The crew welcomed the excited guests on board and introduced them to the boat and the rest of the crew.
Straight out we did 2 check out dives on Norman reef on a site called Troppos, the passengers came up stoked after seeing turtles and sharks along with Nemo’s friend Dory.
Once everyone was back onboard we started the overnight steam up to Ribbon Reef 3 to have a first class day on the reef.
To start the day off on an old favorite Steve’s Bommie. Where they saw turtles, nudi’s, leafy scorpion fish. Followed by a recent reopened dive site Clam Gardens, then onto another coral gardens called Google where they saw 4 cuttle fish in a mating ritual, then onto an afternoon and night dive at Challenger Bay, where they had sharks, eels, trevally and red bass all hunting by their torch light, they also had a close encounter with a fully grown marble ray.
On the 3rd day we started of the day with 2 pinnacle dives where they saw green turtles cleaning themselves and an olive green snake hunting in the reef. We then moved the boat up to Cod Hole for the highlight of the Cod Feed dive. We had 3 cods swimming around us for the whole of the feed.
We finished off the day with a site called Snake pit where they had a rare sighting of a guitar shark.
We finished off the trip with a sun set BBQ at Lizard island.
We had a great tip and the crew would like to thank the passengers who participated on this trip.
