SPIRIT OF FREEDOM employs experienced, qualified and professional Crew to work on our luxury liveaboard dive vessel operating from Cairns to the Great Barrier Reef and the Coral Sea.

If you are a motivated self starter, willing to accept the responsibilities associated with liveaboard dive vessels, and you enjoy the company of other divers and can provide a high level of hospitality to our international guests, please complete the application form for consideration towards one of the listed positions. In some cases dive industry experience may not be required.

TUSA DIVE offers additional employment opportunities aboard their dive vessels specialising in daily trips for experienced divers and snorkellers to the Great Barrier Reef.

WORK PERMITS
Australia: If you are not an Australian or New Zealand citizen you will require a work permit for Australia. Company sponsorship is extremely difficult to obtain unless you have some specialized skill that cannot be easily found within Australia. eg. a combination of instructor, engineer & multilingual qualifications.

Trip Director
Requirements	Job Description
Possess an outgoing charismatic personality. Management skills including leadership, initiative and interpersonal skills. PADI OWSI certification with 2 years teaching experience, 100 certifications and 400 dives. Nitrox instructor certification with liability insurance. Current training in First Aid and Emergency Oxygen Administration. Restricted coxswains certification. Occupational Health & Safety at Sea (STCW 95 preferred) Hospitality experience, 2 years. Scuba equipment service ticket (US Divers). Experience in reef interpretation and underwater photography. Foreign language skills (preferred).	Demonstrate human resource skills. Provide hospitality to guests. Manage dive staff Reporting and communication. Ensure safety of guests and crew. Ensure dive equipment used onboard is safe, serviceable and accounted for. Manage all dive operations. Provide non dive activities. Develop promotional opportunities. Oversee reef interpretation program. Oversee photo services and dive instruction on board. Minimum unrestricted USL Master Class 4. Minimum USL MED II Engineering. Management experience including leadership, initiative and interpersonal skills. PADI divemaster with liability insurance (preferred). Nitrox certified (preferred). Current training in First Aid and Emergency Oxygen Adminsistraton	Provide quality cruises which adhere to our advertised itineraries Maintain all areas of vessel in excellent seaworthy condition, including maintaining the inventory, storage and order systems for tools and spares. Manage all Engineering aspects of vessel including maintenance schedule for all ships machinery and apparatus. Demonstrate human resource skills. Manage vessel crew including catering staff. Ensure safety of guests and crew. Provide training and leadership to crew. Provide hospitality to guests. Reporting and communication. Overseee vessel provisioning Oversee vessel finances. Responsible for maintaining exterior vessel cleanliness Responsible for deck security whilst underway Divemaster Duties - be available for Dive Deck duties as soon as ship duties completed. Other Duties - maintain accurate records of all services/work carried out on all vessel running gear by completing entries into maintenance manual. Provide hospitality to guests.
